Bell Housing Power Take-Off Clutches
Brief Introduction
The Mechanical PTO is a lever-actuated over-center clutch. It has a shaft and bearings mounted in a rigid iron bell housing. It is designed for both inline and sideloaded applications on internal combustion engines, which are equipped with compatible SAE industrial flywheels and flywheel housings.
The Elite Mechanical Power Take-Off is suitable for various sizes, OEM applications, and aftermarket retrofits.
The friction disc packs are designed for dry operation. Actuation can be accomplished either through a stationary cylinder-piston arrangement or through internal shaft and clutch passages.
The clutch is bored and keyseated for shaft mounting. Torque is transferred from the disc pack to a geared drive ring attached to the engine's flywheel.
Engine PTO clutches are used in a wide range of applications, including Industrial, On-Highway, Marine, Construction, Agriculture, Mining, Oil Field, and Rail.
